Chapter 7 Shloka 29
जरामरणमोक्षाय मामाश्रित्य यतन्ति ये।
ते ब्रह्म तद्विदु: कृत्स्नमध्यात्मं कर्म चाखिलम्।।२९।।
The Lord now says:
Those who strive for liberation from old age and death through refuge in Me, they are knowers of Brahm, of Adhyatam and of all karmas.
Kamla, the Lord here refers to those who have attained a very elevated state.
1. Such people possess a stable intellect – they possess the state of a sthit pragya.
2. They have transcended all attributes – they are gunatit.
3. They are free from the shackles of hope and expectation.
4. They are ever satiated.
5. Their life is is a devotional offering to the Lord.
6. They are devoid of enmity and partiality.
7. They are established in the perfection of selfless deeds.
8. Their minds are devoid of duality.
9. They are unaffected by their personal desires.
10. They have transcended moha.
11. All mental aberrations have been silenced.
12. Divine qualities have been firmly incorporated within them.
13. Their mental state is one of equanimity.
Such men of wisdom persist only in one direction:
a) They endeavour to wash away the latencies and impressions gathered through many lifetimes.
b) They try to eradicate the last remnant of the ego, the subtle ‘I’.
c) They seek to establish themselves in the fact ‘All is Vaasudeva’.
d) They have realised that all that exists in the Universe is the Lord Himself.
e) On the subtle plane (Taijas), they have achieved silence.
f) They are established in Supreme wisdom (Pragya), that comes through the practical application of knowledge in life.
g) All that remains now is mergence in the Supreme.
The Lord says, “Such people realise the essential Atma and have penetrated the mysterious depths of karma. They know the essence of life.”
Little one, the Lord has said:
1. He who lives life knowing himself to be the Atma as I do;
2. He who uses My qualities in life;
3. He whose life is proof of the My qualities;
such a One is a knower of Brahm, of Adhyatam – the divine nature of Brahm – and of karma.
