O Divine artist, Who creates all,

colour me in Ram’s Divine hues

I care not what colours You grant this body,

but colour this mind in Ram’s hues!

In Ram’s colour, in Ram’s colour,

let me bathe in those colours divine

In Ram’s colour, in Ram’s colour,

O Beloved immerse me in those hues sublime!

May these eyes contain Divinity’s intoxication,

may these lips speak only His Name

Whatever these ears hear,

may it be only His Name

May every name bespeak His Name.

Only this desire now remains,

in Ram’s thoughts my identity I lose…

O Beloved Lord, now come I beseech

and colour me in Ram’s hues.

Give me not that medicine Beloved,

which distances me from Thee

O grant me that potion instead,

which guarantees union with Thee!
