Cultural Activities
Arpana emphasises the overall development of the children. They are not only provided educational support but also given opportunities to take part in cultural and extracurricular activities to gain self confidence and sense of worth. The emphasis is given on a holistic way of approaching education as a system of learning and developing life skills rather than on mere literacy. This includes inculcating and appreciating values, contributing to the personality development of the child, facilitating respect for parents, cultural identity, improving language, appreciating countries and diverse civilizations.

Achievement: Last year, an exceptional recognition came to Arpana’s students when they were invited by Delhi State Counsel of Women to present the Dance Ballet “Krishna Sudama” at the prestigious Hall “Sri Ram Centre” to an audience of 450 people. The children performed very well and received a standing ovation at the end.
| Fun on Children’s Day The children in Arpana’s Educational program in Molar Bund celebrated Nehru’s birthday on November 13th by organising a mela (fair). The children themselves organised the activities for this day, eg. games, races, food stalls (where the food was home-prepared), mehndi stalls, and garment repair stalls. Discipline was also maintained by the children themselves. |
