I seek naught but union with Thee

Back to 'Sublime Prayers'

If I attain knowledge in its entirety,
And You still remain far from me,
Then what shall I do with such theory,
Which denies me union with Thee?

Give me no knowledge, nor recognition or fame,
Just let me stay at Thy feet
Ram Ram - with every breath,
Let me Thy Name repeat!

Lend speed to my spiritual endeavours Lord,
Hands folded I pray to You;
Nullify every moment of this life,
Which is spent in worldly pursuit.

Let only Thy memory remain within,
And all other thoughts be dispersed;
Let me stay ever at Thy glorious feet,
In devotional love immersed.

I seek not repute nor worldly ware,
Let just tears of love flow from these eyes;
Do not bestow aught else O Lord,
But that Thy Name from this heart does rise.

(Translation of the prayer sung in Hindi
by Param Pujya Ma on 19th January 1960)
