Introduction

In these modern times, man has lost connection with himself. He goes in a desperate search for happiness in the world around him. The more he strives, the more peace and happiness elude him. His vision is veiled by a curtain of illusion and ignorance. He looks for ways and means to escape his miserable condition. In his quest of happiness, he may strive all his life to find it in materialistic pleasures, only to realise in the end, it took him nowhere. At times though, he may get tired and turn towards God for a solution. Even then, he is bewildered. He doesn't know whom to believe. He hears all kinds of promising statements but he is unable to make them his own. He may even go from temple to temple endlessly, without finding any lasting solid answer...

In the present times, the youth do not have much choice: all that is offered to them are degraded values of instant gratification, violence, discord, individualism and all the damage these can engender... There is no solid alternative to these. It seems almost an irreversible march towards complete destruction leading to nothingness.

For us at Arpana, it is our extreme good fortune that we have come across Pujya Ma - One who has applied Herself to a most intense search for the Truth of Life and has come out victorious in the short span of 5 years of constant and consistent study and practical application of the injunctions of the ancient Scriptures. The effort put in by Pujya Ma to achieve Her goal is simply superhuman, probably unheard-of in the history of Humanity. She went through an enormous amount of adversity and trials with absolute steadfastness. Her determination never wavered for a second. During this extraordinary period of uninterrupted re-search of the Truth, a cascade of divine knowledge has spontaneously flowed forth from Her, rendering new meanings to the truths contained in the ancient Scriptures, making them fully applicable and understandable to the people living in today's world.

Since 1962, the date of creation of Arpana Trust, people from ordinary walks of life have started gathering around Pujya Ma. They came mostly as escapists seeking a refuge in life. Pujya Ma gave them more than they sought: She gave them the key to unalloyed beatitude. Teacher par excellence, She gave all of them full freedom to learn, each in his own way. Her life became an audio-visual education for those who chose to live with Her and dedicate their lives for the sake of Truth, under Her loving and extremely patient guidance. This has imperceptibly but surely brought about an attitudinal change or even transformed their lives over the years... Arpana thus became a Training Centre for the Truth of Life.

Today, we at Arpana, are willing to share with all the immense legacy of practical knowledge of life offered to us by Pujya Ma as well as the reservoir of experiences of life with Pujya Ma. We are ready to disseminate this marvellous and most applicable wealth of knowledge and dynamic approach to life, with all those who are searching for a direction, a meaning to life. We deeply believe that this treasure of knowledge of life has the potential to bring about a radical transformation in people's lives in India and all over the world in a relatively short time, especially if people get together for the overall upliftment of mankind and the regeneration of the humane values in people's hearts.
