Arpana Charitable Trust, UK, has been raising funds through many donors, and many on the Board of Trustees give personal donations. They are able to raise funds from important organisations, notably Guernsey Charities Commission, which has provided grants for the past 12 years continuously for hospital equipment and construction, The Overseas Development Authority (UK) for disaster relief in Himachal, from Glaxo-Wellcome (now Glaxo SmithKline) towards construction of an additional floor to Arpana Hospital, and the Big Lottery, which supported programmes for health care, water & sanitation and rural development in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Lady Aruna Paul graciously supported construction of a handicrafts training hall and a vehicle for the handicrafts project as well as contributions for education and development. The Lions Club of Enfield raised funds for Arpana’s Bakrota Medical Centre in Himachal.

He commented: "Arpana's humanitarian work is, I think, a model of its kind, which can be used and adapted throughout the developing world. It combines total professionalism and quality with the utmost dedication and love."
 
He saw the Arpana Hospital and health/ development work in a nearby village, and met Param Pujya Ma and members of Arpana.
 
Through the efforts of Dr Raghu Gaind, Chairman of Arpana Charitable Trust U.K., Prince Charles interceded with Prince Al Walid of Saudi Arabia, who made a generous donation for Arpana's medical and development services at the Molar Bund slum in Delhi.
 
Guernsey Overseas Aid Commission, Channel Islands

The continuous support from Guernsey Overseas Aid Commission, Channel Islands for hospital construction, equipment and vehicles has enabled Arpana to provide affordable and modern medical care to the disadvantaged communities. The recent grant from Guernsey Overseas Aid Commission for new powerful generators has a major role in continuous electric supply in Arpana Hospital, especially for the life saving units such as Operation Theatre, Intensive Care Unit and Neonatal Nursery.


 


Christoffel Blindenmission, Germany
has been supporting Arpana’s health, eye care and outreach service programs in Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh. The vital eye care equipment given by CBM has enabled Arpana to step further towards Vision 2020: The global initiative for the elimination of avoidable blindness. CBM has also supported the construction of Arpana Hospital, Canteen, Ramp and the Hospital Pharmacy.


HCD Memorial Fund
has been supporting Arpana’s health and development programs such as women’s empowerment, promotion of agriculture, income generation, environmental protection and rural health care in Himachal Pradesh.

Mr Jagjit Singh
, Aid for Indian Development, USA, has been making contributions to Arpana's services, and forwarding donations from all over the USA, without any charge, for the past many years. He is a most valuable friend and adviser.

Pfizer Inc., USA and Pfizer India Ltd, Mumbai
has been supporting Arpana’s health and development programmes in rural Haryana and slum resettlement colonies in Delhi. Pfizer has also helped us to realise our own potential by providing us with technical support related to management and governance, as well as providing funds to hire professional staff.  


 


India Development & Relief Fund, USA
has been continuously supporting Arpana’s community development programs in rural Haryana. This support has enabled Arpana to serve the communities of 65 disadvantaged villages in Rural Haryana.


Mr. Tom & Mrs. Barbara Sargent and Tides Foundation USA
have been continuously supporting Arpana’s health and community development programs in Himachal Pradesh. This support has enabled Arpana to nurture and strengthen village-based organizations of women and farmers to the threshold of sustainability and provide affordable medical care to the population of about 225 disadvantaged villages in the most poverty stricken district, Chamba, of Himachal Pradesh.
