Arpana Ashram - Empowering oneself to empower others
Situated at Madhuban, Karnal, in Haryana, India. Arpana Ashram is a centre which promotes self empowerment through introspection and inner change, thus enabling us to help and empower others. It is a proof that :
- unity and harmony can be attained even amongst the most varied diversity;
- all faiths can be fully respected and appreciated as they all join to glorify the humane values;
- the lives of most ordinary people can be transformed whilst following a joyful play-way method of learning;
- learning in freedom has the power to engender tremendous improvements because when the initiative is one's own, the drive is much stronger than would have been with an imposed course of action.
People offer a lifetime of dedication and thereby free themselves from their own egoistic tendencies. As one becomes more and more free of himself, ones capacities are multiplied. Simultaneously, ones claims of doership over ones actions recede. One then becomes more receptive and open, and as a result, life flows freely and whatever one does becomes innovative. Solutions to unexpected and new situations and problems flow spontaneously from a heart free of pride and pre-meditated conclusions.
Enormous stress is given on the continuous selfless service of others. Applied with conviction and dedication, this has the power to take one away from one's egoistic self. As a result, one merges with others in identification and togetherness and sees oneself expanding, so much so that one feels that the whole world is one's family.
Pujya Ma says: "Play the game of love where both sides are victorious and the score always remains 'Love All'."
Arpana has extended its love to all, starting from the less privileged sections of society. At Arpana, we look at the children of the slums of Delhi or the rural people of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh as our very own. We want them to rise and develop to their fullest potential exactly as we would have wanted for our own children. We seek to offer them the best education possible so that they may rise to the top of their professions tomorrow.
At Arpana, we seek to enable others by training them so that one day they may be able to stand on their own feet.
We feel blessed to consider them our children and our hearts are filled with gratitude to them for accepting our services.
