In the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, more than 150 out of 700 shlokas (verses) deal with the Gunas (qualities). Param Pujya Ma has set out, in a most unique, significant and revealing manner, the qualities of those whose predominant trait is Sattvic, Rajasic or Tamasic.
These clear and easy to understand descriptions of the Gunas constitute research material of an exceptional nature, never known before. Param Pujya Ma explains that each individual is unique and is propelled by a combination of various gunas; indeed an individual is inexorably driven by a predominance of one or other of these gunas, by a extremely complex set of circumstances, many beyond the individual's control.
Thus are we enjoined by the Prophets never to pass judgement on the actions of another. Propelled by our gunas, we may react in a worse manner than the other, in a given situation. Therefore, far from judging, condemning or criticising, we must learn to be understanding and compassionate towards all.
We are often asked to remember that if we point one accusing finger at others, three will point at us!
