The Mission
![]() |
To bring holistic and accessible health care to a marginalized population, whilst actively encouraging use of Government services wherever available. |
The Need
|
The vast majority of disadvantaged families in Arpana’s target area cannot afford modern medical care they require and are unable to obtain it from other existing sources. They have little or no savings as they live on a day to day basis, with no reserve funds for emergencies. When a family member falls ill or they are in dire need, they often have to turn to money lenders, entering a debt trap they and their families can rarely escape. Illness is a luxury they cannot afford as expenses for medical help can rarely be met. |
The Dream
|
That we bring into existence a haven of modern medical health care for the vulnerable poor –women, children, the elderly living below the poverty line. A haven where they are treated with dignity and surrounded by love while being given excellent treatment in excellent facilities by compassionate, qualified and trained staff. |
Creating the Reality

Arpana brings a wide variety of health services to an area of over 700 villages and towns in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and to slum resettlement colonies of Molar Bund in Delhi. |
Trainings are also carried out for village folk as health workers and health resource persons, as well as for continuing education for doctors, nurses and paramedics.
