Impact

  1. Tuition support was provided to over 1,000 children in standards 1-10 in Molar Bund, Delhi. 
  2. In 2011, all of Arpana’s students passed their final examinations, with 147 obtaining first division marks and 46 of those obtaining marks above 80%. 
  3. Tuition classes are also provided to assist older students obtain their high school diplomas from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). 
  4. Pre-school classes and crèches care for and facilitate the development of 348 young children. 
  5. Young people were given vocational training for competitive skills. Vocational training for 104 students was given in tailoring, crafts and computers applications. 
  6. There was also a lot of interest in the Beauty Culture course by trained Beauticians, which started in May. 
  7. Classes were held on spoken English for better communication and a workshop was held on life skills to increase self confidence and self esteem of the students. 
  8. Cultural and extra-curricular opportunities have been provided through a variety of exposure visits, attending a college and school trade fair and through participation in celebrating festivals.
